Goals:
One goal of my project is to explain how and why girls get involved with prostitution.
A second goal of my project is to prepare an event to inform people about child prostitution, through the movie Very Young Girls.
The third goal of my project is to communicate to people of the community how influential prostitution is on our society. As well as how a society is dehumanize to the terrors and situations these young girls go through, by glamorizing pimps, and strip clubs.
A fourth goal I plan is to conclude that young runaway girls are searching for love. The business of prostitution provides love for these girls, inturn runaway girls are coerced into prostitution.
A final goal of my project is to interpret how prostitution effects our society, and why it continues.
Vision:
How will my project impact other people after I have completed it?
I hope that people will understand that prostitution is not just women selling their bodies, but a life that most young girls are either forced or coerced into living, while searching for love, and care they never got from their family.
How will my project relate to my thesis question?
Most of the girls who are in the prostitution industry are young, the average age is 13. A lot of the girls are runaways who fall into the hands of the wrong guys. These girls think that this man is a father figure, as well as a boyfriend, or lover.
How do I foresee my project concluding?
I foresee that people will at least be more aware about prostitution, and understand what it actually is. I also hope that some people feel a need to look into helping more, or supporting organization such as GEM, which is aid to recovering sexual exploited girls. Products:
